Great company, growing fast in the Raleigh/Durham vicinity seeking a technically savvy PeopleSoft Specialist.  The PeopleSoft Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining PeopleSoft architectural components including:

  • PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA)
  • Application Servers
  • WebLogic Servers

    Reverse proxy Servers

    • Application Messaging
    • Integration Broker
    • Workstations – 3 tier architecture and IE settings
    • Load balancing
    • Oracle 11g Database Basics
    • Installing configuring, and maintaining application architectural components including
      • PeopleTools
      • Application Designer
      • PeopleSoft Process Scheduler
      • Tuxedo
      • Report Repository
      • Report Nodes
      • Cobol
      • Crystal
      • Application engine
      • Component Interface
    • PeopleSoft Applications development / execution environment including
      • SQR
      • SQL
      • PS Query
      • PL/SQL
    • Planning, managing, and installing application patches, Tax updates, Maintenance packs, Service packs, tools upgrade in a multi instance environment (e.g. development, test, QA, UAT, and production environments).  Proficiency in migration activities in PeopleSoft and the tools necessary to execute the migration including:
      • Change Assistant
      • Upgrade Assistant
      • Delivered PeopleSoft compare reports
      • Custom queries to identify objects changed both custom vs. delivered.

            Minimum Requirements

    • Ability to ensure application change control and migration strategy policies are followed.
    • Ability to proactively plan for future capacity requirements by calculating growth of the application in the areas of database size, number of end-users and application functionality.   Research best practices for performance, sizing, etc.  given Oracle sizing guidelines
    • Performance monitoring using PeopleSoft Performance Monitor & other tools and using the information to address server, system resources, processes, CPU, memory, and other performance impacting issues.
    • PeopleSoft user security, roles and web profiles
    • Working with  Database tools, Unix  shell scripts, Windows scripting, and Windows batch scripts
    • Experience using  “My oracle support” , to maintain awareness of the latest PeopleSoft and Oracle updates
