This individual with be involved in the performance of network technology dedicated to internal and external business processes and be responsible for network architecture and collaborate with systems and application Architects, Senior Infrastructure analysts, and Lead Application Developers to provide a stable and ever improving environment.     Responsibilities:

    • Design Monitor Performance and tuning of key network technology components for key systems
    • Collaborate with project Teams to Identify, recommend and resolve network stability and performance issues based on monitoring tools
    • Assist with Capacity Management and planning for network components
    • Analyze and recommend Hardware requirements and Software requirements during opportunity assessment phases of various infrastructure and application projects
    • Participate and contribute to the development of an infrastructure life cycle for network infrastructure
    • Assist in the development of Service level Agreements (SLAs) for network infrastructure
    • Specific Network component responsibilities will include but are not limited to: a. Design and continuously review of Internet and network principles including (DNS, Security, IP     Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.) b. Configure and install Firewalls, VPN Concentrators and Security appliances c. Design and configure complex switching environments d. Design and configure complex wireless networking that supports open or secured access with the ability to support voice and video applications Design and continuously review Local Area Networking infrastructure e. Assist in the design of multi-server environments including IP address schemes, DNS, WINS, etc. f. Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives g. Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and support h.  Supervising the administration of systems and servers related network components to ensure availability of services i. Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues

     

    Experience:

    • Considerable experience in creating repeatable, reliable, secure scalable network architectures, with fault tolerance, performance tuning, monitoring systems, statistics/metrics collection, and disaster recovery.
    • Expert knowledge of Cisco Enterprise Networking Solutions including ISR and ASR Routers, Catalyst and Nexus Switches, Firewalls (ASA and Palo Alto) VPN concentrators,802.11 wireless access points, and load balancers
    • Expert knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies (STP, VTP, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.)
    • Considerable knowledge of TCP/IP; Ethernet, Network cabling; Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching; the OSI Model; VPN and SSL technology
    • Must have knowledge of networking components such as spanning tree, ARP, EIGRP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, LS; HSRP, QoS, BRI/PRI, MPLS
    • Practical experience designing, developing and implementing Enterprise Networks
    • Strong experience in planning and performing new implementations and upgrades of existing infrastructure
    • Strong experience in Cisco Collaboration, Security, Wireless, or Data Center, and Microsoft technologies
    • Proven design capabilities and experience leading clients through a collaborative process of Layer 2 and 3 design

    Education:

    • Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science Engineering, Data Processing or Mathematics
    • Prefer an advanced degree or other professional certification in Management Information Systems
    • Requires minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years professional experience in Information Systems, specifically network architecture, design and implementation
